The only cool campaign challenge is Nightwing's.
Money can't buy happiness, money IS happiness!
totally agree the campaign challenges blow but they can be done with a bit of patience didnt read all the posts but it just seemed like most people were complaining rather than talking bout how to beat them so i apologize if anyone already said anything i talk bout. for me personally i find the combat challenges in this one really easy compared to AA where the multiplier for finishers diminished if u used the same takedown consecutively or even just too soon in the combo chain so the only problems i really had were with some of the extreme predators. only tip i can really give for the combat other than just to be comfortable with the controls is if u can when u get down to like 3 henchmen or so knock them all down with a super stun then finish them all with ground takedowns. if u have a good chain going u can get a huge finish to each round this way.
first i recommend beating all the predator challenges by themselves, get an idea of what needs to be done in each one and find a good way to handle the requirements. tried to do the campaigns first with nightwing thinking maybe i could get the worst **** out of the way first but it just made it that much worse going into each challenge blind while trying to deal with the negative add ons
second i apologize cause i cant remember what they call them in game off the top of my head but i would try to use as many of the negative things in the first challenge of the campaign everytime since restarting in the first challenge wont use any of the 3 retries. it can make the first challenges a bit of a pain but it will make the second/third challenge so much easier and more possible to handle with just 3 retries.
there r some little cheap tricks u can use on some maps as batman like on the subway map on extreme i think u need to save the jammer pack for last, knock a guy down right when he reaches the top of a ladder, and knock someone off a ledge using the REC. i wont go into all the details of how i get over there but if u make your way across the map to start and get up in that little room where one of the snipers is u can knock him off with the REC then u can just sit in that room and knock henchmen off the top of the subway cars just use the sonic batarang to get them up there then use a remote batarang to launch them off the cars.
all in all they can all be done easily enough so dont give up on the 100% achieve to early once u figure out a good rotation for each predator challenge its just a matter of a little patience. ive already made this way longer than i expected but if anyone is having trouble with a specific map id be more than happy to help if u just let me know what your stuck on (i can help on any of them except the robin stuff since i wont get those till next tues)

I was thinking the same thing until I actually started to tackle them; after the first few I began to enjoy the campaign concept a lot. The challenge maps were like practice for the campaigns, yet the campaigns require a degree of tactical thinking because you have to use all the modifiers before the end of the challenge trio.
A good way to go about these is to take three of the more difficult modifiers first, as the first challenge can be replayed infinitely without using-up those three retry credits. I personally started at the bottom-right corner of the campaign selection (Predator Master) because I figured that would be my biggest challenge, and it would all be cake from there by comparison. It took me several hours to complete Predator Master, but when I did it was not only immensely satisfying, but the rest of the campaigns did seem a lot easier.
Also recommended: complete all the challenge maps first so that you know how to get the medals on each one (they are the same in the campaign versions), and so you know which modifiers are needed to get which medals.
I thought my biggest complaint about this game was going to be the campaigns as well, but after getting the platinum trophy today, I think my biggest gripe is having to do ALL the side missions on New Game Plus to get 100% completion. Some of the main story parts are actually more challenging on New Game Plus due to the improved mobs, but most of the side missions -- AR Training, Riddler, Watcher, Bane, Deadshot, etc. -- are exactly the same on New Game Plus, and therefore just felt like a useless grind. What's more is that New Game Plus actually felt easier than Hard mode (which is where I started) due to the fact that I had completed the challenges and campaigns.
Anyway, I ended up liking the campaigns a lot, and really felt like a bad-*** after completing them all with 9/9 medals. I was considering getting the available DLC ... until I had to grind my way through the New Game Plus side missions; the game has been shelved now.
I agree. The side missions in New Game Plus pissed me off. More specifically AR training. It's bad enough I had to do that once. Now I have to do it again. I am stuck on the same two that I was stuck on in the original story. I'm about to give up on that now myself. It's the only thing I have left for 100% (Well for Batman anyway. Still have Catwoman Campaign Challenges left.)
AR Training totally blew. I could only do it with Batman Beyond (Thank You NOS!) As for the Campaigns, it all makes it more difficult. I myself am having a hard time in the combat stages since I can't do a perfect combo. I been trying the past few days. I finished all the Challenges and am about halfway with the campaign. In AA freeflow combat didn't break as easily as in AC, I stun a guy and try to hit him and batman is punching in the air killing the combo. Also, when I am fighting and I see the thugs about to hit me, I hit counter and they keep hitting me, I tap counter prior to them lighting up, they still hit me, I tap counter after they light up and they still hit me. It's irritating. I want my Platinum trophy, but if I have to listen to the Riddler talk about himself in the third person again after failing I might have to smash my TV with my PS3, if I could silence that ******* and speed up load time, it would be much more fun.
totally agree with the Riddler speaking all the time and really pissed me off when failing. At the end I really wanted to send my controller flying in the Tv to shut him up... but I relaxed, think and beat the game and shut him once on for all (with Batman) I still have catwoman, robin and nightwing to go... But I have my platinum and i'm happy. In Asylum you had the Joker that was always laughing at you and made the same effect. But when you relax and take the time to think and not rush it it's do able. The only thing that is really annoying is the time limit in predator but it has like 1 mins + when you take down a guy so it helps. Anyways go luck.
To NOT make him jump up, you need to hold the button for Grappling. If you read the instructions on predator moves and so on , you'd all know that ^^Yeah that's sometime annoying. Everytime I grapple on to a ledge he just jumps up and then everyone starts shooting at me and it pisses me off. Hopefully they'll work on that in the next game.
But really I love predator more than combat.
I just recently achieved the perfect free flow 2.0 achievement. I pretty much quit trying to counter unless I'm doing a beatdown on an armored thug. I just hit, evade, hit, evade, takedown, hit, evade, hit, evade, takedown, etc. Just keep doing that and you will get your achievement/trophy. The hardest part is trying to remember which one you haven't done yet to unlock the achievement.
Edit: I think the challenge map that I got the achievement on was Jokers Funhouse, and it was the third level. Hope that helps. I don't remember if it was the extreme version or not. It might have been.
