Transfer Save to a Reformatted PC

Hi,

I just installed Windows 8 on a different hard drive, reinstalled Steam and Batman, and would like to continue my save (what an idea!). I tried doing this in the past (before the patch) and ended up losing my save entirely.

Some someone advise how to resume my save from the other HDD? I'm still able to boot into that OS and do anything necessary. Have held off trying anything yet so I don't corrupt anything. Any assistance is much appreciated.

You could try using the hex editor method, load in your old save, then start the new game in Win 8, and save (right at the beginning of the catwoman scene)

Then come out of the game, and copy / paste your old save into your new save in the Hex editor. Then save it, and try it.

Backing up everything beforehand of course.

I'm not saying this will work, but that's what I would do. It's how I ported over a retail save to a GOTY save. The gfwl key issue might stop it from working so don't hold your breath.
