Games for Windows Live and Windows 8 PRO

Hi there,
i use Windows 8 Pro and like to install my Batman Arkham city DVD. The installation was fine but ther is no Games for Windows Live support. I have no pos1 option and cant install patches.

Is your Graphics card nvidia? If so in the launcher turn off physx completely then try running the game. It works for me I miss the effects but at least I can patch the game and more importantly save the game

Try turn it off in the nvidia control panel as well as the game launcher? It works for me on my and my nephews computers

I have an ATI vga card (Sapphire HD 7850) and gfwlive not work. I tried all methods but nothing happens (running as administrator on Win 7 compatible mods, clean install, etc. ..). Any idea, because I have nothing idea..?

The question is where is the problem? Is it in the game in physx or gfwl. I don't have any other gfwl games so I cant test it. My bet would be GFWL but its a whole new os for the devs to test and despite just launching the goty edition in the uk Im betting the support window for patching is long since closed. (would be nice to be wrong though)

I have Mortal Kombat Arcade Kollection and GFWL works flawlessy. But its really Arkham City that does not work at all for me.

No ****. I called GFWL and WB people and they both say its not a serious problem and the computer people is not even thinking about developing a patch. haha
