Re: No Arkham 3 for a while...

Well they told us it was gonna be something different and a real challenge for them to make it, so i guess it is justice league.
Batman will focus on the Joker, this puts me with some questions.
    1. If it's the start from the justice league, is it also the start of the injustice league?
If so this game can't fail and we should all be happy and wait for some info from Sefton!
Comon what is cooler than Joker, Lex Luthor, Cheetah, Parasite, Grodd and more to team up against the justice league.
    2. Can we play as other heroes, for some this may be the end of the world but for real DC fans it would be cool,
but remeber to keep the story seen from batmans eyes and feelings, keep him the main hero.
    3. I hope it's only based on the silver age and the dark arkham graphics stay!
If all these points are followed this game is gonna be great.

If the rumours about the JL movie's are true about WB rushing the whole process, just to keep up with marvel.
Then I'm hoping on the best outcome for this game...

I think RS was still planning to do the AC3 game because of all the clues and teases of a future story (nightwing/hush etc.)
But are now forced to make the JL game...hopefully this project will not be made under the huge pressure of WB..
Presure and rushing a game almost never bode well for the game...
personally, i HATE that Rocksteady has allied themselves with Warner Brothers (or at least, been bought by Warner Brothers) (as in, that the studio has been purchased by Warner Brothers).

let us not forget that Warner Brothers is the studio [lot] that crapped on the Batman [movies]. THEY were the ones that said "Batman needs to be more kid-friendly", "the [Batman] movies should be more "kid-friendly" ", "Batman needs to have a sidekick! :-D ", "let's put neon lights in all the Batman movies", and then hired Joel Schumacher to direct (and make) Batman Forever (and then the ultra-****** (at least as bad as "Batman Forever") "Batman & Robin"). nipples on the Batsuit? butt shots? PLEASE!! :-S .

there's also the added fact that i heard (and read in several websites) that for "The Dark Knight Rises", Warner Brothers was constantly pushing on Christopher Nolan to put The Riddler IN "The Dark Knight Rises". AND to make ROBIN WILLIAMS of all people, play him! (ie. cast Robin Williams as The Riddler). and AGAIN go with the "kid-friendly", "happy-go-lucky", "[there should be] neon-lights everywhere!" theme [of Joel Schumacher's two Batman movies].

seriously, Warner Brothers doesn't GET Batman. they just don't freaking get it! Batman's NOT a "happy-go-lucky", "all happy", "all bright lights", "neon lights everywhere", "kid-friendly", "smiles alot :-D " character. the character's born in tragedy. his parents were murdered selflessly, shamelessly, cold-blooded-ly, by a mugger, who didn't even have any shame in taking their lives. (even though neither Bruce's parents nor Bruce himself did anything wrong). the guy just went "bam! bam!" (you know. took the shots. fired the gun twice) and took their wallet (or whatever it is he was doing) and left. and left poor Bruce to just sit there and mourn his 2 parents. (he's lucky Joe Chill didn't take his (Bruce's) life also). and Bruce is lucky he had Alfred to continue raising him and teach him right from wrong, and all this other stuff. (otherwise he would have ended up as ****ed-up as this has happened to some people in-real-life (and that have NOT had the proper guidance and stuff (like Alfred gave to Bruce) to heal, and survive this situation, and come out on top) and they end up as serial-rapists, thieves, murderers, serial killers, etc. etc. etc., because they (just like i mentioned before) didn't have the proper guidance [and/or instruction] to heal from this situation, survive from it, and come out on top, and become a better man, instead of a WORSE man).

you want another tragic character? Superman. [why?] he's a freaking orphan. his entire planet's been blown up to smithereens (either because the red sun Krypton orbited went super-nova, or because of a internal quake caused by instability in the planet Krypton itself (such as in the planet Krypton's core), and some other interpretations [in the various comic-books] that there have been for reasons "WHY Krypton exploded"). and yet he was [adopted by and] raised by a loving couple consisting of a loving [and humble] farmer and his loving [and humble] wife, and taught [what some people stereotypically call] "Midwestern values" (values that personally, i don't think they extend JUST to the Midwest), and because of that (and his less "dark" upbringing), he ended up being a less "dark" character than Bruce (or should i say "Batman"?).

i really wish that Warner Brothers would just GET IT, and understand that Batman IS NOT a "happy-go-lucky", "all smiles and laughs", "kid-friendly", "neon lights everywhere", "glowing-and-cinematic-lights everywhere", character. you want a happy character? get Barney! :-P

WB didn't decide Batman needed a sidekick. DC wasn't purchased by WB till 1969. Robin debuted in 1969, Batgirl in 1961. They also had nothing to do with the campy 60's tv series.

WB also resurrected the Batman films, they were looking for someone to take Batman in a darker, grittier direction & that's why Nolan got the gig. They recognized that Joel wasn't taking Batman in the right direction, otherwise they would have let Joel do his third film with Harley & Scarecrow.

I agree that excessive involvement from a studio/conglomerate is most always a bad thing, but I also think that WB has been good at letting talent take the ball & run. I've also heard rumors that RS is going to have involvement in the future Batman films after the Nolan series, which may have been an excellent bi-product of WB purchasing RS.

Point is; Batman was campy & "happy go lucky" long before WB's involvement, and it's important part of Batman's past that shouldn't always be ignored. Campy happy go lucky Batman isn't always a bad thing, the 60's TV series & Brave & the Bold are great shows in their own right.

It's because WB thinks it will bring them more money (adults will take their kids to see it) but luckily for us Nolan who is a esteemed enough of a Director he can make his own films without having a company like WB breathing down his back forcing him to do certain things or else they won't finance his film. Which is why unless WB takes their head out of their *** we probably won't see another great Batman series after this one for a while.

I do like the prequel idea, where joker makes his debut with a smaller gang so they can focus on the villain in him and
he will be young and full of health and fire. Two-face back harvey dent and working close with batman and gordon
against the 2 old notorious crime families and maybe even catwoman could be stealing from them.
The justice league feels a little out of place i guess, not sure it's forced by WB.
