I think you guys are referencing the films. Maroni is usually a more traditional Italian mobster, very similar to Falcone. Falcone is top dog over Maroni, but they're both pretty similar.

Falcone is living in a Roman penthouse and has all the judges, unions and mayor in his pocket, he does shipping,
garbage collection, extortion and gambling.... Maroni only has that restaurant and is kinda like Gotti was, a street boss.
He does more in woman and drugs than Falcone for sure.

All the things you listed are typical for most any mob boss. Maroni controls more than just the restaurant, it's just their main front. I already mentioned Falcone is/was top dog, so naturally he has more of everything. They're both similar Italian mobster types & relatively similar in their goals & personallity, that's all I was really arguing.
