Re: Brand new Batman: Arkham City Xbox Avatar costumes out now!

Are any premium avatars coming to the PS3?

I don't mean any harm or anything, but it kind of gives me the wrong impression when you just skip over those of us asking about PSN avatars (maybe I'm interpreting this wrong, if so, I apologize), but if you don't know, please just say so, as it makes me feel like you're ignoring us when there are 3-4 posts regarding PSN avatars, and you jump straight to the ones that do not. Thanks, though. Again, I mean no offense, just putting that out there.

I might buy the 1970's Batman Outfit for my avatar later

    here here,

it is rude, just a simply 'working on it' or 'wait n see' or 'outlook is bleak'
You either die a hero, or you live long enough to see yourself become the villain.

I put my vote in for PSN Avatars. I'm strongly for them.

Apologies if some of you took offense to my post/tone, none was intended.

We are investigating to see the cost and value of creating PSN avatars so late in the Arkham City campaign, we acknowledge that this should of been considered sooner.

The outlook sadly is bleak however...

    Hi Sarah,
Thanks for the reply. I'd like to say, though, that I think this could actually be the perfect time if they got started on it right away. Not only will Arkham City players be happy to buy them, but the Harley Quinn's Revenge DLC could revitalize interest in casual players. Even if it took a month or so, you would also have a new audience in the form of those who've had time to get the Game of the Year edition. Plus, you have an advantage in that the character is Batman, so even folks who haven't played the game could pick them up (though I hardly think you can consider yourself a gamer or a Batman fan if you haven't played these brilliant games). Also, you have all of the images you need in the form of the gorgeous promo art and the whole library of in-game screenshots.

I really like the 1970's Batman avatar costume. Definitely replacing my Scorpion costume with that one at the end of the month. PSN avatars really need to happen. Please?

It's pretty lame that Xbox gets avatar items and PS3 doesn't. Since the PSN avatars are just a static image you figure it would be easily accomplished, it's not rocket science. And if you guys can get a premium theme on the PSN store I'm pretty sure it would be even easier for the avatars. If you made an Arkham City bundle with a good selection of avatars I'm almost positive it would sell and I would be the first buyer. Give us what we want!

I can appreciate the frustration of some PS3 owners, but the Avatar side to the Xbox is well known, and has been well marketed with games for years now

The truth is, its a Marketing exercise with the release of the GOTY edition in the States to get more incentive to spend on content such as Avatar Items with each suit costing £3/$4 to purchase with MSP

No need to be so angry and no need to focus that on Sarah, fact is its a basic part of releasing a game on Xbox thesse days, maybe you need to be asking Sony why they dont do more with their own Avatar side to justify the cost or producing such content
