Hi all,

We have been reviewing the most popular technical questions about our upcoming new DLC and version of Arkham City.

Below is a list of the most frequently asked questions and the answers

*Disclaimer We are announcing PC details later this week in a separate post*

HARLEY QUINN'S REVENGE (HQR)



Will the HQR DLC require a finished save file to start?
No

Will the HQR content be re-playable?
Once completed you will be able to replay the story content

Will we need the Robin DLC to play all of the HQR DLC content?
No

Can I use the skin cheat for Batman in HQR?
No

Can I use the Big Head mode cheat in HQR?
Yes - but only if you have finished the main game

If I have the HQR DLC, will I be able to play as Robin in the challenge maps?
No, you will only be able to play as Robin in the challenge maps if you own the Robin DLC pack

Does HQR include any new challenge maps?
No – it is new story content only

Will Batman and Robin level up within the DLC?
No

Will I be able to start the HQR while in the "main story" for that already-completed campaign? Or, will I have to erase that game-save [slot] and start again from the beginning?
Yes – you can start HQR no matter what stage of the game you are in and it will not affect your save game progress

Can I bring all my upgraded gadgets and Wayne Tech to HQR?
Yes

Will you be able to explore Arkham City and see what it looks like at the time the DLC takes place?
This is tricky – In HQR you can only explore the Steel Mill area where the story takes place ( you cannot free roam Arkham City as either Robin or Batman within the DLC content)

Will the HQR DLC release same day for both PS3 and Xbox 360 users?
No, HQR will be released on XBL and PSN (America) May 29th and XBL PSN (Europe and other territories) May 30th

Will you be able to use Robin's other skins in the DLC story?
Sort of You can change to Robin’s animated series and Red
Robin skin (if you choose animated Robin - Batman will then change to his animated series skin, he will not change if you choose Red Robin)

To use different Robin skins do the following:
• STEP 1 – finish Batman Arkham City story (you do not have to finish New Game Plus)
• STEP 2 – Start HQR
• STEP 3 – Quit back to main menu
• STEP 4 – Continue HQR
• STEP 5 - you will then be able to choose a Robin Skin

**You will need to have the Animated Batman skin installed and the Robin DLC installed **

GAME OF THE YEAR EDITION (GOTY)

Will my save files for the regular version of Arkham City work with the GOTY edition?
PS3 save files will not be compatible but Xbox 360 saves are compatible

Is there a separate set of achievements?
No, the only new achievements are from HQR and some of the older DLC (if you don’t already own it)

Will the challenge mode leader boards be shared?
Yes

Will players of the regular version be able to get the DLC content by procuring and using the extra CD from the GOTY edition?
No
**Also it is only the Xbox 360 and PC version of the GOTY that comes with additional disc. The PS3 version has all the DLC on the same disc**

Will the Catwoman DLC be included in the disc or will it still be tied to an online pass requiring a download?
It is included with the GOTY (either on the additional disc or same disc for PS3)

Can the GOTY edition's DLC content be installed more than once, for example if a player gets a new console?
Yes

If a player buys and registers a copy to the GOTY edition to his account, will he be able to download the DLC content to a copy of the regular edition of the game also tied to the same account, or at least be able to install it from the disc?
All the DLC that has been released is on the GOTY, however the GOTY DLC is tied to the GOTY game only (IE not compatible with the original Arkham City)

Will the GOTY edition use GFWL?
Yes

Will the PC GOTY edition be exactly the same as the current PC original edition, or will it have any further bug-fixes applied?
Yes, all updated patches and fixes (that have been released so far) will be on the GOTY addition.

I don’t have Xbox LIVE, but if I buy the GOTY edition with the HQR DLC, will i I be able to play it?
Yes, the DLC disc on the GOTY (which includes HQR) does not require internet connection to play/install

Will you be able to use the DLC in both online and offline accounts of GFWL?
Yes

Will the changes we see on the Steel Mill be transferred to the story mod or that will remain strictly for the DLC only?
They are for DLC only

Is the Batman INC skin included in the GOTY?
Yes – all released Batman skins are included

Great to see the new FAQ's I did not get to ask, if you get any new moves or gadget for batman/robin will this be automatically transferred to our story mode for instance?

So after purchasing and completing the DLC will Robin be playable on the original story map in the same way as Catwoman? Thanks for all the info.

Will Batman even level up in DLC portions of the story? Even if it's replayed? Because this looks like a great way to level up.

Batman will not level up in the DLC portions of the story.

Thanks for the updates and for the new on pc details.

There are no new moves in the content for Batman, Robin will have new use of his shield in the DLC but this does not transfer to Robin in the challenge map.

On a side note are there any plans to make videos public about how the game was made? It was quite interesting seeing how much work goes into sound effects I really like to see more and I'm sure there're others who would like to see more as well.

Side note 2: I'm sure that with the imminent dlc this was put on hold but we will be seeing the remaining 'Looking back...' threads, right?
