i downloaded the patch and still i cant get anywhere. It still gets the corruption game data in the beginning of the game after i jump out of the clock tower and going after joker. I mean come on this is the start of the game and it wont let me do anything

I'm still having the same problems with the "X" Button on this game on the ps3 that I've had before, and this it with the hints telling me to push "X".

i put in my "Arkham City" game disc in yesterday, to play it, and i saw the "new firmware-update, 1.04", and after i downloaded and installed it, afterwards a message appeared saying "installing required game-data". i'd like to know what "required "game-data" " was installed[, and how it will help improve the performance of my Arkham-City game]. will it also get rid of the glitches and stuff when fighting, gliding, and also, the glitches and "stuttering cutscenes" that appear (including that stuttering-cutscene of when you're about to fight as Catwoman for the first time, and she says "it's just little ol' me" while extending her clawed gloved hands).

having weird graphical issues, making detective mode unusable.

also some stuff just looks weird. like interactive doors are just black. this is on ps3.

I just finished getting the last Riddler trophy and beat the last side mission yesterday... Fired up my game today to delve into New Game +, and my file is nowhere to be seen. Seems I'm a day late for the patch, and left feeling a little bitter.

That sounds like a PSN/Network problem rather than a patch problem I'm afraid.

in the Sony.com website, for the Playstation section, in the "Support" section for that, I think there's a place where you can enter the "error code" you see when you get that error-message in your Playstation (in this case, the error-code "80710736"). Go to that website and find out what that error-code means.

Also, make sure you have a steady Internet-connection (and not just to your router, but to your ISP (Internet Service Provider) as well). as well as, check to make sure you have a steady connection [for the Internet] from your PS3 to your router.

how do i get this patch

very simple. assuming your gaming-console is connected to the Internet, when you put your "Batman: Arkham City" game-disc in [the gaming console], and try to play the game, a message should [first] appear saying that there's a new update [for the game], and likewise, you have your prompts to download and install the update, bla bla bla, yatta yatta yatta.

(at least, this is how it happens on the PS3).
