Great! I was a little afraid the DLC would be console exclusive.

I rather wait some time instead of not getting it at all!

A tertiary line about trying to bleed console revenues is entirely optional. Said statement applies for the upcoming DLC as well as my sentiment for how the game was initially released. Clearly the content has been developed so plus or minus a day or two for some steam certifications I don't see the logic. Sorry, it's just beyond frustrating. As a hardcore PC gamer it just smacks of arrogance by RS "We know we made the best game of the year so we can make our customers do whatever we want".
If waiting is a problem for you, and PC delays are not new, then why not buy a console so you don't have to wait and as a result moan. While I see the advantages of being a PC player, issues like this are commonplace and don't seem likely to change, so it's up to you to do the logical thing or get used to it.

I have a PS3 but bought the game for PC. I wanted a richer experience, so I bought the PC version. I am seriously considering just getting both Arkham Asylum and AC GOTY edition for the PS3. I have even considered dropping all PC games completely because of all of the wait time, glitches, DRM and other BS they come with. It's just not worth it for a better frame rate and some prettier graphics. Eventually consoles will catch up.

Really? That's your argument? It's not the waiting that specifically irritates me. It's the utter lack of support for the platform. Yes, I have experienced similar disappointing events from other games developers but RS has been consistently more problematic. Now, to address your "fix". Why don't I just buy a console in order to play a game? First I find all consoles to be inferior to a good PC. I didn't pay 3 grand to play solitaire and browse the web. I got a high end rig with 8 gigs of ram massive external storage the latest dual gig sli video cards and a quad core processor. I spec'd out this machine for two main reasons, 1) to be a beast of a work machine 2) gaming. I don't want to just plunk down a few hundred bucks more just to play a game in a less than inferior state. That would be insanity. It's like comparing photoshop to an etch a sketch. If someone said you couldn't get AC on PSN or XBOX but "Hey why don't you go play monopoly instead" would you be cool with it? Also, just because something is common place that doesn't mean it is OK. RS is a corporation and they can do business as they see fit. I as the consumer am allowed to complain and give feedback though. The point that I was making initially was that it just doesn't make sense. What sane company says "No, we don't want your money."?

Also, buying a game on console would be counter productive to the PC cause. Doing so would essentially give RS and other companies validation in their actions. I would never reward that by giving in and buying a different and lesser product.

The devs of Transformers: Fall of Cybertron refused to make a PC version at all, citing lack of expertise. Are you going to call that a lame excuse and call them insane idiots for refusing money?

It was not an argument. I completely see your point and agree with you, it makes little sense from a business perspective. I have a gaming PC, albeit not 3 grands worth like yours. However, PC versions aren't THAT superior to the consoles. You will have a higher framerate, better resolution and physx. Not really worth 3 grand if it also infuriates you so much. The only reason I'd buy it for my PC is for the Robin/Nightwing free-roam mod.

I was just saying the logical thing to do, buy a cheap xbox and arkham city pre-owned. Problem solved

Sorry bout that. I really should cut back on my caffeine. Caffeine + slow day at work = more argumentative than usual. ;p
