Major Bug! Help me!

When I first enter Archam City as Bruce Wayne, and I have to protect Jack Ryder and the other political prisoner,
a bug occurs. There are no thugs at all when the gates of the elevator open. Jack and the other guy just run and fall down, spasming, but noone attacks them. I can't progress at all! Please help me!

Hmm this sounds most unusual, have you tried starting the game again from the beginning?

Yes. I even uninstalled it and re-installed it. Nothing works.

It is not a frequently reported bug or one we came across during our testing. We will check to see if there is a way around it..

...but it has been mentioned before...and all the way back in December last year. December was a dark time for a lot of Rocksteady devs, I'm guessin'.

although the thread is about something else, the Jack Ryder/Bruce Wayne and missing thugs was mentioned. The solution mentioned says to use DX9 instead of DX11. Not sure if that will help or not...

I am kind of a noob. How do I do this?

PS; Oh! Do you mean DirectX? I did upgraded it. The bug is still there.

Not upgraded...downgraded, so to speak. You can try upgrading your video drivers just in case, but you want to try DirectX 9 instead of DirectX 11. In the Launcher configuration options you can disable DX11 (game will revert to DX9) and you can try that.

I opened the launcher but there are no DX/direct x options!
Have I installed sth wrong?
