SarahMay's question was, "how was the COMBAT, in [Batman] Arkham City", not just "how was the COMBAT, in Riddler's Revenge, in [Batman] Arkham City".

i just had a crazy idea: CO-OP MULTIPLAYER custom challenges :-P

(kind of like how you can make [and play] your own custom co-op "mission(s)" in Online [Multiplayer], in Socom 4).

i can see it already: Batman and Nightwing, all taking out about 100 guys at once... in the custom challenge map. (or Catwoman and Batman. or Nightwing and Tim-Drake Robin. or Batman and Tim-Drake Robin. or Robin and Batgirl (i know i know, Batgirl's not coming out for DLC in Arkham City). take your pick! :-P :-) ).

we already have the Online (what i mean by that is, we already have the ability to connect to online-Arkham-City-stuff (like the leaderboards and DLC)), we just need the "Multiplayer" (or "Co-Op" :-P ) aspect of it :-P

Why multiplayer? That's one bit I don't really get. Batman works better alone. He always has.

Is the reason because many other games have multiplayer? Because that's one of the worst possible reasons.

true that he works better alone.

i meant, add a "Online Co-Op" option to the "Custom Challenges". so that, those that want to play in the custom-challenges with a friend (whether it be online or locally) can do so.

(and like i said, do it (IF you're gonna do it) in such a way so that the "Online Co-Op" [option] [for the] custom-challenges are different than if you were playing the custom-challenges by yourself (similar to how the "co-op"-mode in Socom 4 is different in "Online" than when it is as "Offline"). if you're gonna play the "custom challenges" in "Online Co-Op", do things like add way more bad-guys than you would have in the "single-player" ["offline, non-co-op"] "custom challenges" (basically: add enough bad guys for you both to beat. but, add enough so that it's a CHALLENGE for the both of you. remember: adding an extra player makes it easier to beat the same amount of bad guys. (unless the other guy doesn't know what the hell he's doing))).

the campaign and "main-story" and "new game plus" SHOULD stay "single player ONLY". Batman (in certain situations) always did work better alone :-P :-)

Oh please no multiplayer, that would be one of the worst decision Rocksteady could make.

I'd like to play multiplayer with Robin, Nightwing and the rest of the gang. Mass Effect 3 did it best in terms of context: you never play with the main character in multiplayer, you perform in a support role to enforce the actions in the main campaign.

In other words, you could play Co-Op with any character except Batman; You know, give Nightwing & Robin the screen time they were due in City, maybe throw in Batgirl, Azrael and some others.

Depending on technical contraints, make it play out like GTA multiplayer: players may roam the campaign territory in pairs. Then pursuing a side-story campaign and missions.

Maybe that's why Mass Effect 3's ending sucked so much, they used time on multiplayer that could have went towards a better ending.

If they put multiplayer in, they might be taking away 2 hours from the story, to work on it. And if I could choose 2 hours more story or multiplayer, I would choose those 2 hours.

Now I don't know if that would happen, it might not, but I wouldn't want to take the chance. And what MontyPython said, I agree with.
