Funny, I thought the role of the community manager was to interpose themselves between the development team and the community and to liaise about matters or issues generally affecting their products....well that's what other community managers appear to do.

This isn't some isolated issue, its a DRM system which affects every single copy of your software sold. One would consider it reasonable to expect a community manager to give us a straight answer on the subject rather than palming us off to technical support.

    Hi,

We have the technical support team in place to help with queries our community team cannot.

DRM discussions/help is not something I am in a position to help with from the development studio. The support team have contact with our publisher Warner and the DRM partners so are in a better position to help.

This is why we recommend to contact them for queries/problems with the more commercial side of the game queries we do not have access to.

Yes, does not work for the retail disc copy.

I can't use the revoke tool, so I can't use the above method. (it needs a revoke code).

Also, I sent an email asking about the activation limits in retail version to WB support (Wbgames.intsupport@warnerbros.com)
(I'm outside the US), and I haven't received the reply yet.

Anyone contact WB about this and received a reply?

    Re: Regarding the 5 activations

I told them to get rid of SecuROM, and they didn't listen. Now here's proof that it's costing them sales. http://forums.steampowered.com/forum....php?t=2682602

Seriously, is it so much to ask that we be able to INSTALL a game on our OWN computers? And then being banned from owning another copy ever again when they run out because it's tied to two different accounts?

I hope that by time WB removes this limitation.

    Re: Regarding the 5 activations

there's actually no excuse to limit the installs for a game.
we already have to deal with a constant connection for achievements, and its tied to one account(steam version)
when will game company's learn they are just losing more money. because there's always someone out there, that cracks the game and put it up for free.
