    Regarding the 5 activations

I sent an email to WB asking if the 5 installs can be reset like on other games once they are used up, here is the reply so we all know:

"Thank you for contacting tech support. Unfortunetly the code can only be used on 5 PC. If you have reached your limit there isn't a way to reset the code. To install the game onto another PC you will have to purchase the game again.
    Best Regards
    Sean C"

But that sounds like you install the game on 5 different PC's but can install on the same PC as many times as you like? Thank god for that revoke tool. I have used 2 already, one was a new PC and the 2nd was a fresh win 7 install. The 3rd will be win 8.

But what about upgrades to a certain PC? Seems a little unfair if you get zapped one activation just because you upgraded your system. Harsh, even. And greedy on WB's part. But oh well. Cest la vie.

In which case they should probably also point out that, if you purchased it through Steam, you will not be able to purchase it again on the same Steam account.

In other words, if you use up your activations on a Steam-bought copy of the game, you forever lock out your Steam account from being able to access the game.

I don't think he actually meant that, his wording is a bit weird. I am taking it as you can only install the game 5 times no matter if it is on the same PC. But a little unsure really

WOW I never even thought of that at all, I have a retail disc but yeah what happens to Steam users. I have Riddick on Steam but I manged to get my installs reset for that. Even if you copy the game folder back over after a re-install etc you still need to activate it to make it work again

The DRM is BOLLOCKS I decided to get an ssd so I had to reinstall windows I didnt even reinstall steam or anything and still I lost one activation because of simply upgrading my hardware.

I think this is the most weird way of fighting piracy the one's who pay for it actually get screwed , someone has to make a new draft about this DRM and threating to make it public I guess.

To be honest I'am pretty darn fed up with this stupid game and I only played like 3% of it, because of the bugs that were reported the save game issue and by my own findings about the 5 times activation.

What on earth is wrong with this company ? its like they almost FORCE YOU not never ever to buy one of their titles again fact after this major screw up every person in their right mind wont support any of their upcoming titles again because of all this, now matter how great the title may seem to be.

Hopefully they will see the light and get rid of the 5 time activation thing soon , maybe they should try to implement something like ubisoft has done that u have to be online to play the game I can live with that solution but this one goes beyond my mind.

You can install the game up to 10 times on the same PC and on up to 5 different PCs.
That's 50 installs of the game.

Incorrect. It's 50 installs only in the case that you install 10 times per computer. Your maximum allowable number of installs could be as few as 5.

Silly PC gamers, you can always de-authorize accounts.

I was also told in another thread the game has a revoke tool built in. So you edit the shortcut to batman.exe /revoke and that does it as well. But it is a pain in the *** and something you need to remember to do.
