Oooo, maybe the next gen down cards (or two, or three) will be "more affordable" then. I can only hope...

And "more affordable" makes me lol.

It is not as simple as that m8, Steam and retail versions use different Batman.exe files, they are coded different. Also Steam is a lot easier to arrange stuff with then m$.

LOlz. Rocksteady is complete joke! I recently bought the retail/GFWL version (I always buy games 4~5 month after release date) hoping that everything's patched. I should've come here before buying it.

I was one of the users that used the leaked first patch, the beta one, apart from anything else it's only 130mb, no-one is gonna convince me they couldn't easy upload a working version for us, even if it's only offline.

I don't think anyone had problems with the death taunts, so I don't know what they were mentioned for in the fix in the first place... Nor why some of the fixes have to be worded so vaguely...

I tried the game after Steam parched it. You know, I hadn't played this game since the 27th of December? Anyway, the sound no longer stutters in the logos. The cutscenes no longer fully stutter, just stop every few seconds, especially when light and smoke is flashing on the screen (the picture-taking reporters with Wayne slow it down considerably)... The sound no longer is out of sinc and chopped to hell, but the cutscenes aren't fully fixed, either. They play, stop for a moment, play some more, stop for a moment. It's far better than it was, but this is not a fix.

I'm not the only user who's finding this out, either. Someone posted in the Stuttering Cutscenes thread that it didn't work for them.

Mind you, with the way this has all gone, I think this is the best ever to hope for from this company, so I'll deal with it. If that's the worst it gets, anyway, as the scenes are finally now mostly watchable. However, if it gets worse, then I won't put up with this and will simply never play this game again.

Edit: playing some more and the cutscenes in the courthouse with Harvey play well, and afterward. I guess it will be better with some than others.

DX11 still sucks for me... meanwhile I can play BF3 no problems, no stutter no nothing... back to DX9 with nvidia recommended settings on geforce.com...

    so much for being subtle...

You sure you haven't installed the game on your RAM by accident?
DRM limitations are a punishment for the paying customer and an encouragement to seek better service elsewhere...
And then they complain about piracy.
