A reason why she lied to us, dare I ask what that could be in your view?

From taking this long, too few, or too many with shortfall in skill set - both of which are correctable, but no-one is correcting it.

We are complaining, but at this point, it's more of a running joke and bad PR then complaining, If I was SarahMay right now, I'd be worried about keeping my employment status, this is bad PR, and she's directly in the firing line, I have already asked this company via it's support mail to fire SarahMay, and if lying to it's clientbase was company policy or something she made up - I doubt I'll get an answer bud at least I'm trying to find out.

I don't care if I look stupid, I have been sold something that doesn't work, and the company that can fix it isn't and lying to me when pushed for answers, this isn't the best way to deal with anyone, never mind someone who paid you for a product.

The only thing I don't understand is why you guys blame the bringer of the bad news, SarahMay. She is only doing her job, she never lied to us, she (and by she I'd rather mean the company, WB/Rocksteady itself) only made promises the team could not fulfill, that's not lying, only wishful thinking or just repeating what her boss told her. If you want to blame anything, blame the company not one person who's doing her own job.

i wouldn't exactly say that the product isn't working. my second save game i have 91% finished.
i also backed up my save data in case i might lose it. but consider i have the steam version. i was also suggested to disable steam cloud. because it doesn't always sync. it seems more or less its a problem with GFWL rather than the game itself.
lets hope Rocksteady have learned there lesson next time. by not bringing it out on GFWL.
because even the achievements are broken. while steam achievements itself just shows them up perfectly fine.

this might also be the cause of fixing the game. i still believe its not entirely there fault to begin with. but constant delaying can annoying for people, who really wants to play it without any ground breaking bugs.
but consider i have allot of patient. you won't hear me complain any soon

Well, I think we have to consider that what Rocksteady did was really hard to accomplish: they did an open world game based on the Unreal Engine which is totally not capable to do that. At normal circumstances 2 years are more than enough to develop a sequel to a working, accomplished game but in Arkham City they made many changes by introducing a big sandbox. Console gamers have a lot of problems too so maybe if we want to find reasons why this game is so cursed we just have to look at the Unreal Engine. If they develop a sequel they need to make serious changes or switch to a more capable engine, I don't know what they can do with the fact that Assassin's Creed III can render up to 1000 npcs and have great graphics at the same time, that will be real hard to keep up to.

Anyway all I can advice to myself and to other guys who have problems with this game is summed up in this song:

i wouldn't exactly say it isn't possible. unreal 3 is a very optimized engine. there's allot of developers out there who are using this. the console version runs pretty damn smooth. even with some of the sacrifices there has been done on it.
while the PC version only suffers with some random stuttering. its still a pretty smooth experience.

but consider that. the Assassins Creed series are using a much different engine. but 1000 npc on 1 screen is likely not possible. I've played only the first and second game. and so far i can say. the game still had some frame rate issue's when i played it on console. but the PC version was actually very smooth. but it was still a straight port from the console version, with a few tweaks here and there.
    but, don't blame the engine.

its called optimization. that's what some developers forget to keep in mind, when they reached there deadlines.

GDL-LC: I'm just giving my own opinions. isn't that what everyone is doing?

Yup, I just have a flaw of posting in an aggressive manor or tone, something I try to not do but just in case, I wanted to add that in, offending fans of this game is something I'd not like to, staff are fair game lol.

It's noble of you, but we've reached the point here where the sense of entitlement is far stronger than the sense of responsibility to be decent human beings, apparently. If there were anywhere OTHER than this thread to monitor for any word on patch process, I'd certainly do that, because this has become excruciating to watch, and the worst of the lot appear to actually be proud of how insufferable they're being.

Sorry, when I paid for a game, I fully expected and am entitled to a working game, it's funny that everywhere I've tried to get it refunded it have said that it's not their place to do so, yet expecting a patch is frowned upon by some..

Woohoo.. Victory. Hopefully we will get answers, the truth or at least get the current joke that is SarahMay fired or replaced.

    Re: SarahMay Announcement Thread

I don't think it's at all unreasonable to want a refund, and I think it's despicable that companies don't feel compelled to offer them when their products don't work. Unfortunately, in a digitally distributed world nobody's figured out how to do this correctly yet, so we're all in the lurch while that sorts itself out. If I could have returned Arkham City to Steam for a refund by now I certainly would have done so.

But I do think the people "blaming" this on SarahMay are wasting their time and energy, and on occasion being absolute dicks about it for no reason. She's doing what she's told, because that's her job. It's a pretty ****** job to have to do. Being upset about receiving a non-working product absolutely entitles people to want a refund, to reasonably pressure the company to fix their product, and/or to not purchase from the company again. That's how capitalism works. If Rocksteady can't deliver working PC ports of their games, their PC ports deserve to fail.

Being upset about receiving a non-working product does not entitle anyone to throw around the kind of **** that is being slung here. Some of the things that have been said here would get a person kicked the hell out - rightly - if they went into a store and complained about a broken product in the fashion they're doing here. I'm sure that in person they'd display a little more tact, or a little less false bravado. A shame that doesn't correlate to the internet for everybody.
