Sarah May, it doesn't quite seem from the question you asked the user that you are sure how things are working. Sorry if I didn't understand what you asked or how you put it, but to my understanding of how you wrote the question, you seem to think that STEAM and G4WL are two seperate versions. They are not.

You download it from STEAM and launch it from there, in the game G4WL pops up and does what it needs to do, usually screwing up everything.

I really hope I misunderstood your question, because it worries me how close you guys will get to solving the disappearing save files issue.

I'm pretty sure this patch is for Retail disc or GFWL Digital versions of the game only.
Steam has its own updating system.
This download will not apply to Steam.

I will seriously reconsider buying anything from WB Games/ GFWL / Rockstar !

Yeah, this patch does not work at all on Steam versions. For the record, I bought this game for myself while also gifting it to a friend (who has thankfully yet to play it) over Steam. Still having sync issues with achievements as well. Whatever I can give you that might help this process out, let me know.

Then why on earth you not state that in the first place. And why wouldn't you obviously state that this is the same patch before xmas. Here myself and I'm sure quite a few others are thinking this a different patch all together after that one. This is total ****! I already know to many personal friends who have lost there saved data. I refuse to even touch this game anymore!

I have the Ghul/reverse batwing problem (and, yes, I've tried low res/Windows mode and that doesn't work). I am on a PC, using the disk version of the game, G4WL, Windows 32 bit, DX9. I've downloaded the patch, but when I click "setup," I keep getting the message "not enough storage available" regardless of what file I designate the extraction to. (Available space on my hard drive is 304 gigs, so that's not the problem).

Please help, I've loved the game to this point and want to keep playing.

Hi Sarah -- hoping you can help. I downloaded your linked file and installed as the instructions indicated. The setup appeared to run and complete successfully. However, the batman launcher files still indicate v1.0.0.0 when I check the versions in the game\binaries\win32 folder and if you click the launcher and then the readme it still says v1.0. So this makes me unsure if the patch was applied...? Can you advise? Thank you.

I could give you a quick answer now, yes it does that you'll be fine, if you're rollin' with dx11 GPU this patch lets you set detail level to 'extreme', check it out.
